Wedg Type Formwork Locking Clamps

Also known as large-panel locking clamps or formwork fasteners, wedge-type formwork clamps are essential components of formwork systems. They primarily utilize a wedge-based locking mechanism to integrate the alignment, tightening, and leak-prevention functions for formwork panels.

Structural Components:

C-shaped/Arc-shaped Cast or Forged Clamping Jaws: Engage the edge frames or flanges of two adjacent formwork panels.

Wedge-shaped Driving Pin (with handle): Passes vertically through the clamp body; hammering drives the wedge downward, utilizing the mechanical self-locking principle of the inclined plane to generate powerful inward tension, thereby tightly compressing the formwork joint.

Surface Treatment:

Yellow/Colored Zinc (Center): Electroplated colored zinc or yellow chromate passivation; offers superior rust resistance and high visual distinctiveness.

Silver/White Zinc or Galvanized (Left & Right Sides): Electroplated white zinc or cold galvanizing; features a bright finish and provides basic corrosion resistance.

Installation Steps:

Hook the two jaws of the clamp onto the edge flanges of the adjacent formwork panels;

Strike the top wedge-shaped handle firmly downward with a hammer;

The wedge mechanism drives the clamp to tighten inward, ensuring a seamless, flush, and secure lock between the panels;

To dismantle, simply strike the bottom of the wedge-shaped handle upward with a hammer to quickly release the lock.
