They have top and bottom chords, and between the top and bottom chords, there are several vertical tubes supporting them. A ladder beam is also called a scaffold ladder beam or ladder beam truss.
Aluminum Ladder Beams are a type of scaffold ladder beam made from aluminium scaffold tubes.

There are normal aluminium grades of 6061 T6 and a higher grade of 6082 T6 for the aluminium ladder beam. The grades are met up to BS8118 and TG20 British scaffold standards.
