Base Jack Core Parameter Table

Publish Time: 2026-03-09     Origin: Site

A base jack (scaffolding base jack /adjustable base jack) is a core scaffolding accessory used in construction for adjusting height and load-bearing capacity. It mainly consists of a threaded rod, a nut handle, and a base plate. Vertical height can be adjusted by rotating the nut handle, ensuring the scaffolding remains level and vertical on uneven ground, ensuring construction safety and scaffolding system stability. EK Scaffolding manufactures according to CE and ISO standards, possessing professional technology in forging processes, surface treatment, and thread production, which extends the service life of the base jack. Common base jacks include solid threaded rods, hollow threaded rods, rotating threaded rods, U-head base jack, and base plate.

Base Jack Technical Highlights:

1. Manufacturing Process: Manufactured using professional forging technology to ensure structural strength and heavy load-bearing capacity.

2. Materials and Corrosion Protection: Manufactured using high-quality materials, with galvanized and anti-corrosion surface treatment for a longer service life.

3. Adjustment Function: The high-strength helical thread structure allows for precise adjustment of scaffolding height, suitable for uneven ground.

4. Safety Standards: Compliant with international standards (CE, ISO), product design emphasizes high stability and safety.

5. Main Applications: Applicable to construction projects such as high-rise buildings, bridges, and tunnels.

Base jacks from different manufacturers may vary slightly in details. EK Scaffolding has compiled a table of common base jack core parameters.

Parameter   Item

Common   Specification Range

Remarks

Screw   Diameter

30mm,   34mm, 35mm, 38mm

38mm is the most common (matches 48.3mm steel pipe).

Screw   Type

Solid   or Hollow

Solid has higher load-bearing capacity, hollow is lighter.

Screw   Material Grade

Q235,   Q345 (carbon structural steel), Q355, 20# steel

Corresponds to international standard S235 or S355.

Total   Height

380mm, 400mm, 500mm, 550mm, 600mm, 650mm, 710mm, 750mm, 1000mm, 1500mm

600mm is the most commonly used specification in engineering.

Adjustable   Stroke

100mm-1300mm

It is recommended to leave at least 150mm-200mm inside the pipe when using it.

Threading   Process

Cold Rolled process

Higher strength and smoother operation when adjusting nuts.

Matching   Nut Lengths

120mm, 150mm, 175mm, 200mm

200mm is common.

Nut   Manufacturing Processes

Cast nuts, Forged nuts

Cast nuts typically use QT450-10.

Base   Plate Sizes

120*120mm, 140*140mm, 150*150mm

Wall Thickness: 5mm - 8mm.

Surface   tTreatment

Electro-galvanized,   Hot-dip galvanized (HDG), Painted, Black parts (Rust-preventive oil).

Hot-dip galvanizing offers the strongest rust prevention.

Standards

EN74-1   / EN12811, ANSI / SSFI, AS1576

Applications

Fixed,   rotating
