Most scaffolds follow established standard structures and also need to meet the safety requirements of scaffolding during use. Next, the scaffolding manufacturer will introduce the safety requirements of scaffolding to you?
In use, scaffolding work is defined as exceeding the four-meter threshold and requires a high-risk work permit. Many people will feel that in some cases a high risk work permit is not required to install scaffolding if the scaffolding height is less than 4m. This idea is wrong. From a safety and health standpoint, scaffolding manufacturer recommend that you still need a high-risk work permit.
Scaffolding Safety Requirements
1. The weight that the scaffold can bear
The structure of the scaffold must be strong enough to support its own weight and maximum load-carrying capacity, and it needs to be done without bending and displacement. Scaffolding needs to be built on completely flat and solid ground. Following these safety tips will help ensure employee and property safety and business compliance.
2. Ground stability
It is forbidden to use unstable objects to build scaffolding, or build scaffolding on unstable ground, including loose bricks, cartons, barrels and other objects.
3. Regulatory Policies
During the use of scaffolding, qualified personnel wearing safety helmets must be supervised and protective measures must be taken on the ground. Qualified supervisors must also be present when erecting, dismantling and moving the scaffolding.
4. Safety protection measures
All scaffolding must be equipped with skirting boards, intermediate railings and guard rails. Top rails manufactured and used after January 2000 must be between 38 and 45 inches in height. For top rails manufactured and used before January 2000, the height must be between 36 and 45 inches.
5. Maintenance
Construction workers should regularly inspect scaffolding supports, brackets, screws, fasteners, treads and ladders. If there is any damage or defect, the device should be replaced immediately.
