The Kwikstage transom is a horizontal structural component within the Kwikstage scaffolding system, designed to support scaffold planks (timber or steel) that do not feature hooks. It connects to the scaffold standards via "V"-shaped connectors, ensuring the system's high load-bearing capacity and stability.

The Kwikstage transom features a T-section design, formed by two angle irons joined back-to-back. This T-shaped structure provides a supporting platform for scaffold planks—specifically those designed with flat, hook-free ends. When using this transom for support, no additional scaffolding accessories or fasteners are required to secure the planks.
