Safe use of scaffolding is of vital importance, and any worker who manages or operates a ringlock scaffolding system on a construction site is responsible for ensuring the safe use of the scaffolding system.

Tutorial On Safe Use Of Ringlock Scaffolding

Workers on scaffolding systems need to receive training before they start using the scaffolding, including guidance on safe work practices and emergency operations in earthquake emergencies. Workers using scaffolding systems must be aware of the importance of safe use of scaffolding and must be adequately supervised during operation. Everyone has an obligation to reasonably protect the health and safety of themselves and others, which requires scaffolding workers not to interfere with or operate the scaffolding system incorrectly.

Modification Of Scaffolding Systems

Ringlock scaffolding users may not modify the scaffolding in any way without permission, such as removing planks, tie rods, brackets, guardrails or other components.

Before modifying the scaffolding system, a request must be made to the site supervisor or the person in charge of the scaffolding system. Professionals should make judgments and plan the modification methods, especially for scaffolding systems with a high risk of falling. Scaffolding systems can only be modified by competent personnel, and any damaged parts must be removed or replaced by the scaffolding supplier or professionals.

Ringlock Scaffolding System Use Precautions

The power extension cord must not directly contact any part of the metal scaffolding. When the scaffolding is located near the power lines, a minimum safe distance from the power lines needs to be maintained. If the handling of conductive materials is allowed, it must be done in accordance with safe working methods.

Regularly inspect the scaffolding to ensure stability and earthquake resistance.

After the initial inspection and delivery, the scaffolding should be inspected several times on site.

The ringlock scaffolding system inspector should be able to identify changes and faults in the scaffolding system.

Unprotected openings or gaps, railings, skirting boards and structural connections.

Weakened supporting surfaces due to flooding, surface seepage or nearby excavation.

Pay attention to events that may affect the stability of the scaffolding, such as vehicle impacts, severe weather or earthquakes.

Ringlock Scaffolding System Use Regulations

1. In any case, the entrances and exits of the ringlock system and the working platform must be kept safe and unobstructed.

2. The load-bearing capacity of the working platform shall not exceed the limits specified by relevant regulations and scaffolding manufacturers.

3. Provide adequate side protection to prevent workers from falling on platforms without handrails and guardrails.

4. Workers can safely access all working floors from all parts of the ringlock scaffolding system.

5. The distance between the working surface and the scaffolding column is 15cm, and the distance between the working surface and the working floor is 30cm.

6. The safety and adequacy of the supports on the working surface to prevent the scaffolding from tipping over.

7. Use shelter to protect people passing under the scaffolding.

Ringlock Scaffolding Assembly Requirements

Step 1: Foundation preparation

Remove any obstacles, debris or potential hazards in the work area and ensure that the ground is flat and stable. Place the base plate or base jack on a stable ground and adjust each base jack to make the ringlock scaffolding system stable.

Step 2: Ringlock standard assembly

Connect the first ringlock standard to the base jack, insert the second ringlock standard into the first ringlock standard, and rotate the ringlock standard until the pin locks into place.

Step 3: Place the ringlock ledger and diagonal brace

Install the ringlock ledger between the ringlock standards, ensuring a secure fit. Add the ringlock diagonal brace between the ledgers for added stability.

Step 4: Scaffolding Plank Installation

Install the scaffolding plank on the ringlock scaffolding ledger, ensuring the scaffolding plank is fixed in place, level and overlaps correctly. Install the toeboard along the edge of the scaffolding platform for added safety.

Step 5: Safety Measures

Clearly mark the scaffolding area with warning signs to prevent unauthorized entry. Workers entering the scaffolding area need to be provided with appropriate personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety belts, gloves and non-slip shoes. Workers also need to be trained on the correct use of the scaffolding, including safe climbing techniques and weight limits.

Step 6: Final Inspection

Before the ringlock scaffolding system is used, a thorough final inspection needs to be carried out to ensure that all components are securely installed and in place, and there are no loose connections or missing parts. Check the scaffolding regularly for any signs of damage or instability and address them immediately.
